Other Dates to Note in 2012

5 April – a couple of UK pension changes – firstly a reduction in the lifetime allowance to £1.5m and the end of contracting out a state second pension.


21 December – the end of sex?  From 21 December 2012 the use of gender as a factor to price insurance contracts will become illegal.  Rates for things such as annuities and insurance quotes should be the same for men and women after this date.
